When I was younger, we had a parakeet, who was light blue and just the
sweetest little thing.  She had a perch by the (screened) window, and
when the bluejays came around and started squawking, she'd get all
excited and "talk back" to them (my dad tape-recorded the jays once, and
when we played it, our bird would fly over to the tape recorder and peck
at it as she chirped in response!).  

She never had that reaction to the chickadees or other birds that would
be there, but she sure did love those bluejays! :)
