Julia lay across her desk, breathing heavily, half clothed, the buttons
of her blouse were ripped out, papers, charts and phone tossed on the
floor, her undergarments are in tatters, her hair and make up are
mussed. She understood why Barnabas had done this, HIs last words to
her kept sounding though her mind..."I"m sorry Julia! Please forgive me!
PLEASE!" she knew he must have overheard her making plans with Elliott
in the hallway, or did he know it was Elliott. A knock came to her door.
"Dr. Hoffman?" Julia looks at the door, Barnabas had locked it from the
inside. "Thank goodness for small favors." She said to herself. "Yes?
who is it" Julia asked. The person on the other side of the door
replies... "Its security, some one said you needed help." Julia knew
it had to have been Barnabas, giving her a means to get revenge for his
attack... "I'm fine thanks anyway." "Yes Ma' am." said the voice.
Julia heard footsteps walk away.
Barnabas stands in the shower at the Old House, the events of his
encounter with Julia left him strained and angry with himself. Using
all his energy Barnabas washes his body clean. Suddenly Barnabas
crumples to the floor of the shower, the stream of water falling on him,
Barnabas holds his head into his hands and cries..."Why! Julia!"
Dressed in clean clothes Barnabas drives to Vickie's house. Before
leaving Barnabas addresses a note to Julia and leaves it on the table.
Once again Barnabas knocks at Vickie's door, there is no response so
Barnabas tries the knob and it opens. "Hello? Vickie?" He calls.
Barnabas walks into the kitchen. "Hello?" He again calls. Moving
towards the bedrooms Barnabas stops, he hears the shower running. Not
wanting to disturb her Barnabas is about to wait in the living room, as
he turns Barnabas sees a small note to Vickie. Checking to hear if the
shower had stopped he picks up the note. Reading it Barnabas is
shocked! Placing the paper down Barnabas goes to the door, he quickly
removes his coat, then hangs his came by the door, he walks back to the
Master bedroom. Barnabas calls out. "Vickie? are you all right?" Over
the sound of the shower Barnabas hears crying. With determination
Barnabas goes in. Pulling the shower curtain back Barnabas sees a very
nude Vickie sitting on the shower floor, crying historically.. Thinking
to himself. "D'e j'a vu."
Barnabas turns off the shower, Vickie sees him, then crying says. "No!
Barnabas, you shouldn't see me like this!" Barnabas pays no attention,
although he can not help but to admire her breathlessly beautiful body.
Taking a bath towel Barnabas covers her. "I'm going to dry you off and
help you get dressed." Vickie allows Barnabas to attend to her... she
follows his instructions and obeys his commands as he gets her dried and
dressed. Lastly Barnabas tells her to comb her hair and apply a little
make up to her pretty face while he makes something for her to eat in
the kitchen.
Barnabas is adding the last ingredient to a sandwich when Vickie
walks in. He goes to her, placing an arm around her shoulder Barnabas
helps Vickie to a chair. Going back around the counter Barnabas places
the sandwich on a plate and brings it back to the table. Sliding it to
her, he confesses. "I read the note." Vickie looks at him in shock,
then down at the table. "I see, then you know why I was.... why."
Taking her hand in his Barnabas tries to apologize. "I'm sorry Vickie I
didn't mean to.. that is I shouldn't have, I know that now, please
forgive me." Looking at him with misty eyes. "There's nothing to
forgive Barnabas I know you care about me." Barnabas nods his head, but
wants so much to say.. "I don't just care for you Vickie, I love you!"
