I dont think the 1795 Trask really believed he had any powers or that
there were any witches.  He was just using that as a ruse to promote
his own agenda.  The more so called witches he ran across the more
more he made and luxury living he did. People would put him up and fed
him when he showed up.  If he reallly believed in what he was doing he
would accepted no money or any accomodations and just at low rent
places.  He was in it for the money and the lavish living.
