First of all, is Days the prayingest soap on the air? It seems like
whenever there's a tragedy of any kind, someone always suggests going
to the church or the chapel. As soon as Caroline said "There's
something we can do", I immediately knew what was to follow. I don't
mind a little religion on daytime, but Days often to go over the top.
"Claire has an ingrown toenail! Everyone to your station at the
churchl!"
Second, continuing with the scene at the church, it seemed like even
though everyone was present, there didn't seem to be any connecttion
between the characters. (Probably not explaining that clearly.) The
only time there seemed to be any real emotion was when Chelsea was
sitting there and we saw an arm go around her shoulder, then we saw
Victor pull her into his embrace. Everyone else just seemed to be
there.
Third, why have such a poignant scene near the end of the episode but
then end it with scenes of most of the couples presumably beginning or
in the midst of having ***? They could have ended the episode with
the church scene but nooooooo. (Although to be honest, I didn't mind
seeing a glimpse of Philip ****rtless again.)
Finally, WHAT are they going to do with Shawn's body? I half expect
John to start making jokes soon. (Claire: "I'm hungry!"; John:
"So's everyone else. I say we have a party... a regular Donner
party.") Are they really going to leave the body in the open,
presumably in freezing weather, and then carry it back to Salem?
