Today Lexie said a person cannot live without a pancreas because it's a
gland, not an organ.
Elsewhere in this group, a couple folks have mentioned if Chlsea gives
her pancreas to Bo, she would then die.
Get something straight. Removintg the pancreas DOES NOT kill a person.
What is almost a sure cure for pancreatic cancer, if caught before it
has spread beyond the pancreas, is removal of the pancreas. It's called
a pancrectomy. Look it up.
In 2005 pancreatic killed my brother. In his case it had spread and
little could be done, I've done a lot of research and if anyone does
just a little research, you'll find removal of the pancreas will not
kill a person.
The show's writers just scribble down anything they think makes a story.
They have no interest in accuracy
Being a gland DOES NOT preclude it from being removed. The paratoid
gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, adrenal gland, overies,
testicles, etc., are all glands and are often removed when cancer is
involved.
Lexie works at the Salem hospital where the doctors seem to know little
about medicine.
