Not if you have a sucessful Islet Cell Transplantation procedure. The
pancreas isn't the only gland in the body where insulin can thrive,
but it's definitely an im****tant one. If the islet cells are removed
from the pancreas, they can be transplanted into the liver through the
****tal vein if the ****tal vein is strong and healthy enough for the
procedure to work. It works for some patients and not for others.

Diabetes occurs from the body not producing enough insulin. If another
organ can reliably accept the insulin producing cells, that gland
becomes the insulin maker in the place of the pancreas. The cells
produce Insulin and Glugagalon to help metabolize sugar. You need the
hormones and the cells working somehow in a functioning organ that
will accept them and the pancreas isn't the only organ these islet
cells can thrive in, luckily enough.

When the pancreas is removed, the body loses it's ability to produce
*more* insulin, but it does not shut off, short out or lose insulin
capacity and function entirely and a certain small amount of cells, if
they are *your own* can be removed and eventually thrive elsewhere in
the body.

I'm not positive, but your posts seem to indicate that you're of the
belief that the pancreas is the only area of the body that stores or
makes insulin. It can be stored in the liver and the islet cells from
the pancreas can be transferred. The islet cells are not cluster cells
and they're not plentiful, though. That's the tricky part. There's
also a short window in time in which to harvest the cells in a lab
before they absolutely must be transferred from the pancreas into the
new gland, which *seems* in most do***ented cases to be the liver.
