When I was very little, I walked into the living room and my parents
were watching some kind of movie or tv show (back in the 70s) where
the boyfriend threatened the girlfriend's pet animal during an
argument....I think it was a police show or movie? During the
commercial my father told me that it's a good lesson: if a man would
EVER mistreat or kick/talk violently/cuss at an animal that he lived
with or spent a lot of time around, he has the propensity to act that
way toward the women in his life, too, and he should be DUMPED
instantly. (My father will not even kill a spider, a centipede or a
potato bug. He puts them in a little baby food jar and takes them back
outside.)


Over the years, I've read sooooooo many news articles and seen so many
episodes of Law and Order, Prime Time Live, etc. and he was exactly
right. It's like a kaleidoscope *DIRECTLY* into a person's soul when
you watch them interact with an animal. To see Bonbon talk that way
about animals knowing that she *HAS* two of them at home that she
lives alone with makes me genuinely uncomfortable. I don't necessarily
think she beats them, but it shows that intrinsically, she views
domesticated animals that most Americans would have in their homes as
pets to be on a far lower standing than humans; they are far less
im****tant to her; that she's nonchalant and possibly even careless
about it. That's sad.
