Just the opposite.  When Ava comes on, that's when I stop whatever else
I'm doing, and pull up a chair.

Sure it did.  Hope is aware that Kayla's pregnancy is high risk.  If Ava
knew that she had the wrong woman, it would put Kayla and her baby in
danger.  Also, Hope knows that she's better equipped to handle Ava
because she's trained as a police officer.  And to top it off, she needs
Kayla to watch over her husband... especially after that other doctor
nearly killed him.
