I agree with you, and I basically enjoyed both scenes for many of the
same reasons. John's lines were the best.
However, I was annoyed by the fact that Kate and Victor are still
talking as if they were legally married. They weren't.
I also wasn't completely thrilled with the scene about everyone moving
into John's mansion. I knew where this script was going from the
moment that Sami and EJ called a meeting at John's place and started
talking about their new problem. Marlena and Sami's expressions felt
forced and a bit phoney... as if they had to go through the motions of
saying their lines solely for the eventual outcome. There was
something about it that felt Reillyish.
