Yep. Phillip's the new hottie. EJ is super cute especially when he's
with the babies, but Phillip taking over for Victor and getting in
John's face just reeks of of man with pivotal power and clout. I loved
it and was allllll overrrrrrr it. I just don't want for Lucas to come
back and not like this side of his brother and feel that he needs to
change it! That would certainly suck. I like Phillip calling the
shots.
There's not a whole lot I like about the "new, improved John Black",
but I have got to say that his scenes with Rolfe are really something
else. Both of those guys in scenes together is so offbeat and bizarre
that it's kind of funny. I *love* (it's happened twice now and Belle's
were pretty darned funny, too) Marlena's facial expressions when Rolfe
pulls out the cheese puffs on a silver platter that are attached to
simple, undecorated wooden tooth picks. She has this "Ohhhhh this
soooooo beneath me. I'm a Psychiatrist. This man knows NOTHING about
how to entertain. That platter looks like it belongs at an outdoor
wedding in Arkansas!" look on her face.
