To set the record straight about the Coral Springs Women's Club, lest
someone think your acerbic definition is accurate, it is not a social
club.  We do not sit around playing cards, making pottery, etc.  It is
a philanthropic organization that raises money for worthy charitable
organizations.  In otherwords, women doing their civic duty.

For the record, here are just a few of the charities we support:

Women In Distress (battered women's shelter)
Canine Companions
Special Olympics
The Heifer Project
R.O.C.K. Camp (for kids w/cancer)
Sawgrass Nature Center (wildlife rescue center)
Scholarships for graduating HS senior girls
Scholarship for women re-entering higher education
H.O.B.Y (Hugh O'Brien leadership program)
Women veterans
We clean 1 mile of a local city street (trash, etc.)
Adopt one needy family for T.giving and one for Christmas
American Cancer Society Relay for Life

What do you do for YOUR civic duty, Jen?  Huh?
