I was going to say that, IMO, the characters are supposed to be
exactly as old as the actors portraying them, but then I remembered
that JKJ was supposed to be playing a 16 year old (right?) when he
was
23. Nevermind. =)

That's not nearly as zany as when Ian Ziering (wow, I used the letter
"z" twice in one sentence...shoot, how many times does that happen?)
and Gabrielle Carteris were on Beverly Hills, 90210. He was about
thirty one and she was about thirty four and they were both portraying
teenagers. If you've got it, flaunt it. Ian as "Steve" looked a little
too old most of the time, but Gabbie certainly looked the part. I
always thought that "Brenda" looked the oldest on that show, so when I
heard this about Ian and Gabbie I was floored.
This is going to sound *really* harsh, especially since I am
(partially) one, but I've always thought that about women of Irish
decent. It's strange. They look very innocent as youngsters and then
there's a point where *BAM!* they all of a sudden look like they aged
about 13 years almost overnight. It's something about the extremely
delicate/sensitive alabaster skin as far as I'm concerned. It's tight
for years and then *BAM!* it wrinkles and changes in a most alarming
way. I believe this is why I thought she was so much older than she
really is, especially in the lines around her eyes and neck.
Jay K. Johnson (Phillip) is finally starting to look a little bit
older in my opinion, but DAMN...that guy has fantastic hair and skin
for his age. Quite a lucky lad if I do say so myself...I'm lovin' his
hair a little longer, too. It's all kinds of hot. His mouth is shaped
nicer than a lot of other guys in daytime, too. That's about the
*ONLY* thing I miss about Phillip's Half-Brother Austin. Austin Peck
had "pucker up kissy lips". Too bad his brain always seemed to have no
movement whatsoever as Austin Reed.
