Cook to work w/ Storms on 'GH'

I'm posting this tonight for all of the fans of the original Belle &
Shawn. Thank you to Bankboy in New York for sending it to me and for
all his scoops and diligent emails. Gotta' love the Bankboy. He keeps
up on all of the news/dish so well that sometimes I think he could
take over for Cindi Rinehart on NWA when she retires one day after
nearly three decades of reporting on daytime and evening soaps.


I, for one, much prefer Storms with Bradford Anderson who portrays
Damain Spinelli on GH, but with Jason Cook it's sort of an old school
trip down memory lane, so I could understand the appeal. I just don't
think (and never did) that Cook is as good of an actor as Storms is.
(He's better looking than she is, however...)

SOAPnet.com has confirmed that Jason Cook is joining the cast of
GENERAL HOSPITAL:
Jason is best known as Shawn Brady, the DAYS OF OUR LIVES character he
played from 1999 to 2006. Shawn was one half of "Shawn and Belle,"
known by longtime fans as "Shelle" -- the pair who put the "super"
back in supercouple in fictional Salem. And just who played Belle?
That's right: Kirsten Storms, aka resident GENERAL HOSPITAL
fashionista Maxie Jones.

Jason will be playing a doctor who joins the staff at Port Charles's
infamous hospital; no first airdate has been set, but he'll likely
start appearing in June. We CAN tell you his character will be
crossing paths with Maxie very early on. Could there be a "Shelle"
redux? You'll have to stay tuned for more details!
