Yeah, I laughed myself silly when I learned recently that Victor faked
being worried and concerned about his grandson and had him rehab the
whole time. Which MIT graduate genius thought that one up? I'll bet
the writer was a master chess player seeing as how that idea was just
so....so.....so....enormously clever. (Not.)


Any truth to these horrific rumors that former Passions actor Eric
Martsolf (sp?) is going to be portraying the recast Brady Black? Dana?
Anyone??? I was disappointed to hear that rumor recently. I mean,
yeah, ok, Eric is a much better option that Travis Schuldt, the guy
who portrayed Ethan on Passions prior to Eric, but Eric is just
nowhere near the actor that Kyle Lowder was as Brady. (And yeah, I
know...Kyle wants to stay on at B&B and has said he's not coming back
to DOOL, supposedly. I think his character on B&B just got engaged,
too, so it looks like a done deal for a while on the no chance for a
Lowder reprise in that regard, sad to say...)



Seriously, the show NEEDS a guy like Lowder if they're going to keep
Nadia Bjorlin around. He's the only actor (aside from a few decent
scenes here and there with actor Kevin Spirtas, who portayed Chloe's
father) who could ever make her sorry sack of poor acting habits look
at least *somewhat* tolerable.



Spirtas, (DOOL's Dr. Craig Wesley, Chloe's father) by the way, just
got a new gig on some soap. As The World Turns or something??? I can't
recall. They will not allow him to disclose too much about the
character as of yet. He's also in a one man play that's sort of a
memoir of his life as an actor *and* he's in the musical Hairspray
portraying the Dick Clark-esque character Corny Collins, too, until
his new gig starts in NY doing soap work again. Sheesh....busy guy
that Kevin is....dang.


Speaking of which, I rented the Tom Hanks/Philip Seymour Hoffman film
"Charlie Wilson's War" the other night. Patrika Darbo (portrayed Nancy
Wesley on DOOL) had a small role in it as an auctioneer. She had the
right voice for it. She was good in the part, even though it was a
very small one. She's still a rather curvy/short/stocky/round gal, but
she's lost a lot of weight since being on DOOL. Good for her. (The
film was shot a while back, though... when actor Ned Beatty was still
alive, soooo....it's hard to say what Darbo looks like right now.
Hopefully she's kept it off. She looked SO much healthier. WTG,
"Nancy"!)
