I just looked and damn.....he *IS* still alive, which is good because
he's a good actor...Got divorced in 1998, so I can't have it mixed up
with that...hmmmm.....Now I'm trying to figure out which dead actor
I've got him confused with...LOL....While taking a few minutes out to
look, I came to find that there's a website called "Dead People
Server". Ouuuuuuch. I'd hate to be served one of those dead guys
without knowing that's what was on the menu at a social function,
wouldn't you? WHY on earth couldn't they have called it something
else? That sounds downright ridiculous!  Dead People Server? Ewww!

I just *knew* he hadn't died; I mean, the whole world would have heard
about 
*his* death, being known as "the busiest actor in Hollywood".  He has
played 
so many different roles, and is such a great actor.  There is a song about

him which a couple of local radio d.j.s wrote to the tune of Tom Petty's 
"The Waiting (Is The Hardest Part)"... it's called "Ned Beatty Had The 
Hardest Part".  Talking about how he always had to do the crap things in 
some of his movies i.e. being forced to act like a pig and almost being 
raped in "Deliverance", and having to pull his pants down for Jackie
Gleason 
in "The Toy".  My favorite of his roles, though, was that of Lex Luthor's 
bumbling assistant Otis in "Superman"!  LOL  If you figure out who you may

have been confusing him with, I'm curious too.  I've done that before, 
thinking that someone was dead when they were very much alive and well.

The Dead People Server is an interesting site, even though ITA that the
name 
is very strange!  lol
