I thought the line was borderline pu****ng it. My mother, a Filipino
nurse, has stopped watching the show. The writers could have
generalized "some island in the Caribbean or South Pacific", so that
no nation would be singled out. But no, they went ahead and insulted
an entire demographic of medical professionals who have had to work
hard, not only to earn their degree, but have to work hard to prove
that the degree means something.

Yes, this is stupid. Given the underrepresentation of Asian Americans
(HK Kung Fu is not American), Nadal should have pushed for a greater
minority presence in media. I would like to see Susan forced back to
her gynecologist, and a nurse, having overheard the previous offensive
remark, gives Susan a tetanus shot.
