Just a reminder for those who are interested:
"Flashpoint", the Canadian crime thriller series that has been bought by
CBS premieres this evening (Friday June 11) on CTV and CBS. The series
is about a police special tactical team that handles hostage-takings,
busts gangs, defuses bombs, etc. I believe that the show is set in
Toronto (certainly, it's filmed there).
The show stars Enrico Colantoni (he played Elliot DiMauro in "Just Shoot
Me" and Keith Mars in "Veronica Mars") and Hugh Dillon (he played Joe
Dick in "Hard Core Logo" and was the star of the recent short-lived
series "Durham County").
For the "Due South" connection, Hugh Dillon was the frontman in the band
the Headstones, who had the songs "It's All Over" and "Cubically
Contained" on episodes of "DS".
So, remember to set your VCRs, or Tivos, or whatever, for "Flashpoint"
tonight.
