OT: Paramount's worse than Universal

by "Chris" <CJMARTIN04@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 28, 2007 at 07:25 AM

I just bought Season 1 of Family Ties and Paramount's effort is IMO worse
than Universal. The video quality is not great (IMO worse than when it was

shown on TVLand) and what's worse is that the only music from the original

show that made it on to DVD is not from the original airing. I'm watching
the episode where Jennifer has a 50s party and none of the 50s music from
the original airing made it on to the DVD. What's worse is there is an
entire scene missing where Elyse sings Eddie My Love and then Jennifer
walks
in and Malory comments "You just missed it, Mom and Dad were being really
silly." That line is in the DVD but the scene which sets it up is
completely
cut out...and it's a really bad cut job too. The whole thing is just bad.
So far, Universal's Emergency effort is looking great by comparison. If
Paramount isn't able to overcome the music for even a show like Family
Ties
which didn't have all that much, we're never EVER going to see Wonder
Years.
