At that point, all Roy would do is delay Johnny from getting
to the hospital. Consider that they were out in the toolies,
and Roy had already left and was at the hospital. The engine
was speeding towards the hospital. If Roy left, he would
meet the engine somewhere in the middle. At that point in
time, Roy could not do much since it was the hospital that
had the anti-venom. The right thing to do was to get Gage
to the hospital as quickly as possible.
Things you can ask are:
1) why didn't they bring the chopper back, or have the chopper
come back and meet them somewhere near the accident scene, or
dispatch a 2nd chopper.
2) is Rampart the only hospital in LA? I wonder how many
hospitals and clinics they passed that could have helped
Johnny. It looks like they went all the way across the LA
basin.
