I'm pretty sure that when Pratt started at County he was in the end of his
first year of intern****p and was expecting to go to Northwestern or some
other NotCounty hospital for his second year.
IIRC he already had the place and just had to finish up his time at
County.
Naturally of course he simply waited until he was supposed to start at
Northwestern before telling them he wasn't doing it. Equally naturally
there was absolutely no problem with him going back to County after he'd
supposedly finished.
(Neela could certainly do with some tips from him!)
so lets see, 1st year in season 8, 2nd year in season 9, 3rd in season 10
and he's just fini****ng his 4th year now.
And wow, that would make him the right year to be the chief resident. I'm
amazed that TPTB actually got this right.
Of course there'll be no mention of why Pratt is still hanging round the
ER
until he picks up the CR slot from Morris sometime in season 12.
(and no, that's not a spoiler, that's just a simple prediction based on
waaaaay too long of watching how ER works)
