very likely he hadn't opened the freezer yet.  Abby wasn't expecting him 
until the following day, she just hadn't gotten around to relocating her 
stash.

Vodka has a much subtler odor than most other forms of alcohol, but would 
probably be detectable during a kiss.  I'd imagine Abs hauled her drunken 
butt into the bathroom and used the Listerine before kissing him.

Not much, but since the writing was completely over the top and 
stereotypical, the guys were named Lionel and Gareth for Pete's sake, why 
not go the whole way and toss Beckham's name in there?  TPTB probably
figure 
that he's one of the few Brits with nearly universal name recognition here

in the US now that he and Posh are living in LaLa Land.
