Maybe, but, he probably isn't suspecting it, so he might not notice.
Contrary to popular belief, doctors don't get special lessons in detecting
alcohol use, especially not on non-patients. I presume Luka doesn't think
Abby is vulnerable to relapse, we've already seen by his remarks in
previous
eppies that he doesn't know much about alcoholism and probably doesn't
have
much exposure to alcoholics in his personal life.
2. and looking at her?
How did she look any different that she ever does?
When you spend years in the ER you

But, once again, the skills he uses to *****s patients are not in evidence
when he's at home with his wife. Abby hasn't to this point, said or done
anything to make him suspicious that she is drinking. Give him time, he
probably will wonder what is going on. The guy has only been home a
couple
of hours and is jet lagged to boot.
I don't think doctors are particularly good at diagnosing problems in the
people they love. My mother complained to me about the 'arthritis' in her
legs when she walked on several occasions and I just told her she needed
to
take some ibuprofen and get more exercise. It wasn't until she went to
her
doctor and told him about it that she was diagnosed with claudication from
vascular disease. Weirdly enough, just a few months earlier, my sister
had
mentioned that her landlord had virtually the same symptoms and I
diagnosed
him over the phone. He went to his doctor the day after I told my sister
it
sounded like he was claudicating due to vascular disease and had surgery
just a few days later. How come I could figure it out in the landlord but
missed it in my mom? Probably the same reason Luka is going to be hit
over
the head with drunkAbby before he catches his snap.

Yep, in a patient, not in his wife, who he seems to think is perfect in
every way.
