No, but she could've told him she had forgotten her phone in the car or
the
battery was dead or the cell reception at the medical library is bad.
Instead, she went right for his throat.

And now Abby is following the same pattern with Luka. Luka didn't screw
up
her childhood, but, yet, she treats him with the same disrespect she
treats
her mother. While she might not have sunk to the levels she did last
night,
she has repeatedly ignored his wishes and refused to consider his POV
since
they got back together again. When's the last time she asked his opinion
or
spoke to him as an equal? Even their marriage vows were apparently only
binding for him, HE was obligated to be available for childcare,
protecting
her at work and paying the freight no matter what while SHE doesn't even
have to pretend she gives a good goddam about his father or what he is
going
through. I also recall her saying some pretty nasty stuff to him and
trying to blame him for anything that went wrong when the baby was in the
NICU. Abby did the same to her brother when he was arrested for being
AWOL.
She walked right into the brig and laid a major guilt trip on him for not
calling her instead of Maggie as though she was his only concern at that
point. Not a word of concern about his illness, his legal woes, the end
of
his military career; all. about. Abby and how he had failed her. She was
also pretty damned bitter and resentful when Eric refused her 'help'
afterwards. There's also the distinct possibility that the reason she
hauled crazy Eric to Gamma's funeral was to 'punish' Carter for being more
concerned with his dead grandmother than with her family crisis du jour.
It
isn't just Maggie who Abby treats disgracefully. And this isn't the first
time she's done it to Luka.

Yep, there are plenty of them out there who think it is completely
understandable that she fell back into the bottle and that he is the worst
husband ever. They repeatedly bring up the wedding where he 'promised'
she
would never be alone again and insist he has broken his vow to her and she
is completely justified in being royally pissed at him. He had no right
to
go to Croatia no matter what was happening there. He promised Abby he
would
always be available to help with child care, that is the only priority.

Actually, we have. We've also been told about it repeatedly.
She practically assaulted her med student on her front stoop that time
and
the implication was that they went immediately hit the sack, they hadn't
dated at all prior to that. Considering the way she treated him later on,
I'd say that it was all about the *** for her anyway. We also know Abby
slept with the guy with the motorcycle she went out with after Carter, she
mentioned it to someone or another. It was presumably a pretty short term
thing since we only saw him once. Abby also told Ames she picked up guys
and slept with them when she was drinking. Then, there's her pattern with
Luka, where they had *** before there was actually a relation****p in place
both times around. Abby is no stranger to casual ***.
Luka too has recovered from his S9 problems.

I didn't see it so much as a court****p as an unrequited thing on his part
that eventually became a romantic relation****p. They were only in a
romance
for a very brief time before sleeping together.

I agree, TPTB write it the relation****ps as though they are catering to
the
fantasies of the typical snickering 13 year old boy. It's misogynistic,
IMO.
* As a real life example, I saw a 13 year old who is pregnant last week
('"
But I'm going to be 14 before the baby comes!!!"). She came with her
boyfriend who is about the same age. When I walked into my office to
interview her, they were sitting on the sofa there looking at a picture
book
from the coffee table aimed at showing kids how babies are made. They
were
pointing and giggling at the drawings of male genitalia. I think the two
of
them are the audience ER is targetting these days. Pray for the poor
little
baby whose stuck with these two for parents. ("I would never give my baby
for adoption! I love it and I am going to be a great mom!!")
