Just finished week #6 in the ICU. She is trached but on the vent only at 
night, trach masked during the day. Stomach tube for nutrition and is 
finally trying to eat some. She's up in a chair about 4-6 hours a day
which 
is great for the lungs since she has to use the whole lung to breath
instead 
of just the top half. Doing OT and PT to get moving. Not walking yet. 
Kidneys are much better but still have to do dialysis every few days to
get 
off some fluids. Lung transplant doc is considering moving forward with 
getting her on the transplant list at the top. Team meetings every Tuesday

to consider that. Once that happens it would be a 2 day to 2 month wait 
because she's small. The kidney docs want to see more improvement
elsewhere 
before they consider also tranplanting kidney(s).

So it's good news, relevant to where we were 6 weeks ago. CF stinks. Our 
girl is a fighter.
