Seeing as how if Seth would have caught it, he would have caught it
early on, when he was reading the offending lines, I doubt that error
had anything to do with Fox finishing the episode on their own.

(Besides, who "noticed" that Peter managed to get through elementary
and high school, and get a driver's license, with a birth certificate
that said he was born in Mexico?  Of course, back then, everybody
assumed Francis was his father, and presumably Francis was a citizen,
so nobody really challenged his citizenship.  Oh, and never mind that,
under current law, Peter was born a U.S. citizen even though his
father wasn't one at the time.)
