Why, soitenly! I honestly haven't thought about Farscape for a
long time, I kind of look at it as "the story's done, it was a
great ride, time to move on." Kind of like how I feel about
Babylon 5, another story I enjoyed Usenetting about back in the
day. I tend to only keep up with one, or at most two newsgroups
anymore, and now anime, manga, and Japan have grabbed my attention.
Basically I look at a Usenet group as a tem****ary community, tied
together with discussing new aspects of whatever the group topic
is. The problem with keeping up with B5 and Farscape and some
of the other groups I've dropped, for me anyway, is if there's
nothing new going on with the topic, I tend to get caught up in
either personal disputes with other posters to the extent that
I want to leave, or enough posters leave so that it doesn't pay
to spend the time there. Looking at groups.google.com, I notice
I never posted anything saying I was leaving the group, for which
I apologize. I did enjoy my time argu... I mean "discussing"
Farscape with people of like mind (and not so like mind), and I
hope everyone who's still posting there is doing all right. I've
re-subscribed to the group for a bit, and set followups to the
appropriate newsgroup.
Cap.
(... damn, I'm just not a "couple of words" kind of guy, you know...)
