i'm not sure there is a good place to break up the first book. they
could however do like they did with "the lord of the rings" and make
each book into a 3 to 4 hour movie.
scifi didn't do too bad but they tried to combine dune messiah and
children of dune. too much story for only 4 hours of tv.
