Our library used to do that but ended up with just one large sale with
items across the county. I love them, a lot of the books are either old
and esoteric, what were popular novels that are now overstocked and
battered books that just need a little love and attention to repair stuff
like broken spines. They are all dirt cheap, 20p for a paperback, 30p for
a hardback, which is why I ended up buying 7.
If anyone is wondering:
Charlotte Grey by Sebastian Faulks
The Smoke jumper by Nicholas Evans
London Revenant by Conrad Williams
Chocolat by Joanne Harris
The Piano Tuner by Daniel Mason
Bone In the Throat by Anthony Bourdain
And Slaine the defiler for my friend, not one I would read but based on a
comic character he likes.
