Religion doesn't seek to answer questions, science does.  Nobody knows for

sure, but at least science has, is and will be trying to figure it out. 
The 
method of hypothesis/theory/experiment is certainly better than believing
in 
something because the text of it says that it, itself is true and offers
no 
proof at all.
