Hi Paul S.
I have all the ofah on dvd which has been released up to
now. Must admit didn't notice the cut you are refering to until you've
highlighted it.
I love the program and saw the cast when they came to visit us to do
some filming. David jason was really rude not to wave to the scores of
funs that turned up to see him,including myself. I'm still a big fan of
the show but see David in a differant light. Some stars get so big(which
I know he deserves)they forget its the fans that got them there. They
seem annoyed we were there,as they had to do several shoots. David was
heard to of said"If someone else shouts Luvly Jubbly I'm walking off
set". He only cheered up when his Wife came to visit. It really annoyed
me as I would say, I'm one of those millions of fans who as spent alot
of money on my collection,to help put him where he is.
Getting back to the question of editing. You say its to do with the
music. But how come its in the video but not on the dvd. That doesn't
make any sense. I paid more money for the dvd and got less! To make
matters worse its called"The Complete series 6" but its incomplete. If
you can get to look at it! Check out Yuppy Love at the 24th minute when
Rodney ask Cassandra to dance. The point is he don't! You know the
scene,Rodneys making a bet with Jevon and Mickey Pearce that she would
dance with him. He just walks over and stands there(then the editng) and
they both walk to the dance floor. Its awful! Didn't see him ask her or
the conversation when Mickeys says " He's promised her half of the
winnings". Yes there is music playing,but it continues to play whilst
the music is there. Its stupid. Its not like that on video. It just
doesn't fit. Hope someone else as seen this and agrees. I could edit
better than that. I have complained to the bbc but no reply!!
