Only just found this group, so forgive me if this has been discussed
before.
I've just finished watching Miami twice on DVD. I watched the first part
with no problems, pretty much as it was on TV IIRC, but what the **** have
they done to the second part. I first noticed that it is in 4:3 full
screen,
and I was sure it was widescreen on TV. I may be mistaken here, but there
are a lot of scenes that look as though they have been cropped left &
right.
But the worse part, there's a canned laughter track added to the original.
This definitely wasn't on the TV version, as it quite often overpowers
what
they are saying. OK, it may not be canned, maybe they recorded an
audience,
but WHY. Again WHY.
The BBC hasn't ever treated OFAH with the respect it deserves (showing
them
adhoc just to pull viewing figures, in no particular order, and hacking
episodes apart just to fit a time-slot) but this DVD, WHY.
WHY
Steve
