At least three people have mentioned "Pu****ng Daisies" to me, so I'll
definitely watch it this week.

BTW, Ranberg and Flett-Giordano are now on the team for "Desperate
Housewives", not "Dirty ***y Money".

I'm also enjoyed "Big Shots" which is kind of a male counterpart to
"DH".

In a totally different realm, I'm now rewatching the original "Forstye
Saga", loaned by a friend.

I'm realizing what an impact it had on me as, for much of the early
episodes, I remember things almost line for line, as well as the
photography, camera setups etc.

The acting is superb, even if some of the leads were way too old, at
least for their characters' younger days. Kenneth More was well into
his 50s when ****traying "Young Jolyon" and only about four years
younger than Joseph O'Conner who ****trays his father, "old Jolyon".

It was the first major production whe Britain introduced the new 625-
line PAL system for broadcast TV, though it's black and white, not
colour. The detail for the interior sets is staggering at times.

Also watched new DVD of Olivier's 1965 "Othello". V interesting,
though his blackface performance, which is sometimes borderline
calypso, seems anachronistic for the overall concept. Again, a
tremendous cast across the board, including an early appearance by
Derek Jacobi who once appeared on FRASIER.
