I just did a quick check at rec.arts.tv and someone posted that the
Hollywood Re****ter had announced "Back To You" had been "picked up"
for the balance of its first season, and for 24 eps rather than the
more usual 22. This is not the same as being renewed for a second
season.
Still, with the show now shut down, those additional eps may not be
produced until next spring or summer.
What I can imagine happening is, if the stirke is prolonged --- and
I'm guessing it will be a long one --- a lot of shows will have to
finish the current season very late, running well into next summer.
Or, for all I know, there might be some kind of legal measure to fold
contracts for the current season into contracts for the next one, and
start early.
Time will tell...
