Just watched latest ep. Overall not bad, if at times a bit forced.
I feel the emerging problem with the show is the uneasy balance
between often slapstick humour and attempts at genuine drama and
emotion. Again, in this context the show's biggest competition is
"FRASIER".
Whil the show is reportedly produced with a live audience, the
laughter most of the time sounds more canned than live.
Also, I'm finding the TV studio location almost claustrophobic, for me
anyway. I think the show could 'breathe' more easily if we saw more
of the characters at home, on dates, even in school (rather than
bringing the kids to the station).
Imagine if 90 percent of "FRASIER" had taken place at KACL?
