There is a similar disclaimer for the S2 DVDs of "90210", relating to
music changes. The later seasons of "90210" and "Melrose Place" often
featured music guests and I'm guessing this may also generate DVD
release problems --- it's one thing to replace background or
incidental music, but quite another to change or edit out actual
performers whose work and appearance in performance is integrated into
a story arc.
I can't recall offhand the music references during S10 of FRASIER, but
this would be the most likely issue. It has caused major problems for
a number of popular American TV series being released on DVD.
One or two episodes ran overtime and NBC showed the full version only
once (Roz/Bulldog hugging biz when she was pregnant back in S5;
though this is included in the S5 DVDs).
Of course, all eps are edited for time for syndication.
