"IT's all for the sake of my Baby"

That Liz doesn't want Lucky to turn her in for hit and run.  She knows 
she hit *something*, she knows she ran.  Whether or not she actually 
hit Sam, she's guilty of hit and run.  And she doesn't want Lucky to 
turn in the paperwork for Jake's sake.  That mean ole Sam will make 
sure she's persecuted for hitting her, and poor lil Jake will lose "the 
only family he's ever known."  She tells all these lies, but it's 
always for the sake of someone else:  Lucky's precious recovery, or for 
her poor little baby.  It's never her fault.  And how dare that Sam 
take it out on her anyway?  Sam's just LOOKING for an excuse to ruin 
Liz's life.

Nevermind that Liz's actions may have (for all she knows DID) just cost 
Sam untold pain and suffering and her job!

Excuse me, but shouldn't she have been thinking about that when she 
made the decision to drive while impaired?  When she made the decision 
not to turn herself in after she found blood on her car?  Somehow, I 
don't think her argument would fly if Carly, for example, were offering 
it as an excuse.
