But before all that, Sam was all about the work, right?  I think the last 
time she hinted at going to work was when she let Maxi use her apt/hottub
to 
surprise Coop, back in December.  She was going out of town on "business."

Really, though, we have a right to assume that Sam was going to work 
in-between time, and they just weren't showing it; just like we have a
right 
to assume that Elizabeth was doing her nursely duties during the times
when 
she wasn't visiting Jason for 30 seconds, and they just weren't showing it

(for which we ought to thank them).
