The writers never address it, that's why/how. Liz is obviously too
embarassed that she cannot keep any of her relation****ps with men in
tact. When Cameron's rapidly aged, Liz's character is going to have
more hell on her hands than even Carly, Jax, Kate and Sonny have with
Michael. He'll probably find out from somebody else about Zander, who
I seem to recall is dead as a doornail... Wait until he finds out that
Emily, his mom's deceased BEST FRIEND had a past with Zander, too.
That will make Mommy Liz look EXTRA good! Just sharing the
germs....yes, that's what science is all about.

Now they're trying to show Liz becoming all buddy/buddy with Marianna.
So nice of Liz to tell Marianna that Ric once held Carly (the former
daughter in law of Marianna's new employer, Mike...) captive and is
never able to be trusted for longer than about eight weeks before he
flakes out all over again. She's very decidated, our Liz. She's so
honest and good. She always tells her friends the truth so that they
can protect themselves and be fully aware. (NOT.)
