Exactly. He should be groveling and regretful, instead of annoyed and
resentful when he's reminded that his sneaking around and getting the gun,
then running off and hiding when he saw that the accidental discharge of
his
gun injured Kate. He should never have left her side. He's old enough to
know better.
Being grounded and not playing his video games is a lame punishment. This
should never have been hidden from the authorities AND he should make
restitution like cleaning Kate's bathrooms and Koi ponds until he's 18.
