You are obviously not going to see reason here, since you felt it was
right for Robin to betray the confidence of Jason.
And yes, I think that Jason would have been a better protector of a
child than Sonny. He has always shown more reason. He would never
have taken a child somewhere dangerous without protection just to
prove a point.
Also, insofar in the fact that he is a father now, he has been trying
to protect that child by staying away from him. He is, of course,
torn, since it is his child. Sure, he and Liz coulc disappear, but he
feels he has other responsibilities now, such as Michael and Morgan.
At the time when Michael was a baby, he had no other responsibilities.
He already showed that he was willing to walk away for a while.
Also, I firmly believe that right now, if the paternity was exposed
and he felt there was a direct threat to Jake, such as a threat,
either direct or implied, he would go to the ends of the earth to
protect that child, including taking Liz and the boys far away. At
this time, however, he probably thinks that the best way to keep Jake
safe is for him not to be the father. He is probably right, although
on soaps, you know that eventually someone who shouldn't will find out
about Jake's paternity.
I stand by my statement. Robin belongs on that list. She betrayed
the confidence of a man that she supposedly loved and quite honesrly
not because she felt it was the right thing to do, because if that was
the case, she never would have agreed to keep the secret in the first
place. She was all for keeping the secret when Carly wasn't around.
She spilled because she was jealous and comforted herself with the
fact that it was the right thing to do because a father deserves to be
with his child.
I almost choked when she was saying this to Sonny the other day. I am
surprised she could say that with a straight face.
