I'm torn about this. I've always loved Robin, and I've loved Carly
since TB began to ****tray her. I can understand Robin wanting to hurt
Carly -- Carly had been torturing her for months. I'm surprised she
waited so long to do it, and I'm surprised that she used Michael when
she did it. Even Robin admitted, when she first came back, that she
was wrong to betray the secret of Michael's paternity when and how she
did,and for the reasons she did.
I think Jason WOULD have been a better father than either AJ or Sonny.
But in a way, he screwed himself out of the job. Carly was in love
with him and had he been able to return her feelings (or even pretend
that he did), he probably would have had the job for good. Robin
wouldn't have been in the picture, wouldn't have known his secret and
wouldn't have been able to betray it.
Unlike AJ, Jason LOVED Michael. And unlike Sonny, Jason is driven by
reason and logic, not by emotion. Jason could have left the mob and
that point, and focused on a family. But he didn't love Carly, and in
her frustration/pain over finally realizing that, she slept with Sonny.
Even then Jason could have stepped up, but he didn't. So now we've
had Sonny and Carly over and over and over ad nauseum. Blech!
