I agree with most everything you said. I hate Carly in the same
unrelenting way that you hate Liz. She has such a huge nasty and
selfish streak that I can't see her ever being redeemed in my eyes.
That said, I'd like to qualify your statement about Alexis choosing to
tell people about Kristina's paternity. Technically you're right.
Alexis did make that choice. But she was stuck in an elevator in a
hotel that was on fire. People were being lifted off the roof by
helicopters. Parts of the hotel had already collapsed. The elevator
was hanging by a thread. Alexis was convinced that she was going to
die. She knew Carly was stronger than she and told Carly the truth
about Kristina so that, if by some miracle Carly survived, she could
tell Sonny so that Kristina would have a blood relative to raise her.
Otherwise Alexis would never have shared her secret with anyone,
especially not Carly. No one in their right mind would ever share a
secret with Carly! In my opinion, Carly, at least partially, kept the
secret because telling would have meant her sons would have to share
their father with Kristina. And that Alexis would have an unacceptable
attachment (for life!) with Sonny.
