Agree except that her rationale makes sense to me. She's paying him
off to keep him from killing Sonny. The fact that he shot Michael in
the head is his proof that he'll do it. He has nothing to lose. She
does. She could lose Sonny. The fact that a lot of us would like to
see that happen doesn't matter. She's not paying him for blackmail;
she's paying him for extortion. It's really not that complicated. Do
this or I'll do that. Here's your proof. However, now that she's paid
the first time, she's open to being blackmailed. My respect for her,
which was way past waning already, is gone.
