Setting aside the fact that Claudia has absolutely no right whatsoever
to an opinion about Michael, Michael's family or Michael's condition, I
LOVED the way she set Kate straight!
Claudia had a point -- Michael's situation and Michael's mother are
more important right now than that Kate wuvs Sonny. This is not a good
time to force Carly to deal with Kate. Perhaps if Kate wasn't so nasty
to Carly from the moment she first laid eyes on her, Carly wouldn't
detest the sight of her. And perhaps if Kate hadn't been so snotty
about insisting that she had a right to be with Sonny in his "hour of
need." And perhaps if Kate hadn't been the one to insist that taking a
12 year old to a coffee warehouse at night to see a shipment being
unloaded was a great thing to do, Carly might be able to deal with her.
Out of all of the people who had a hand in what happened to Michael,
Kate is the one most responsible for him being in that place at that
time. And yet she is the only one who hasn't castigated
herself/himself for the the choices they made that led up to Michael's
taking that bullet. She's the only one who doesn't seem to feel guilty
in any way.
Claudia was absolutely right about Kate. And I was glad to see her set
her straight. The fact that it came immediately after Kate went all
"Devil Wears Prada" on Lulu was just laniappe!
