I've been waiting and waiting to see the round-the-clock staff of private
duty nurses! So, Carly, who's medical experience is...what....three days
in school to become a therapist or something back before she got into
Tony's
bed?...is supposed to change the bandages, deal with IV drips, empty
catheter bags for both urine and feces, read the monitors for his vitals,
and change his bed with her "little boy" in it?? This is the woman who has
had a fulltime nanny for the child ever since she came back and took him
back from Jason and likely never even changed a diaper on him when he was
an
infant!
I'm really glad they didn't try to drag out this keeping-him-at-home thing
for very long because it was such a ridiculous idea from the
start...ESPECIALLY without nurses!
On the other hand, I have to say that we've seen some really great acting
from Laura Wright, Maurice Benard, and Steve Burton as they've agonized
over
what to do about Michael along with some decent input from Ingo and "Kate"
(sorry, I forget her real name). If any of them get any nominations for
soap awards this year, they should have plenty of material to choose from.
