I agree that Michael is not a little boy. But he's hurt, he's lying in
a hospital bed. If I were Carly, I'd be referring to him as being
"just a little boy" all the time too. I would be thinking of him as my
baby and probably saying that out loud as well, not caring who
overheard or how technically inaccurate the words were. And 12 or not,
he really is just a little boy to those who love him.
