Indefinite Hiatus? No, it was cancelled. It's gone. Any possible coda we
get
will be something besides a resumption of the series. It's cancelled. The
show was cancelled, and had a series finale. It was over. Calling anything
we get, whether it be the reunion movie ASP talked about or the little
miniseries you have concocted in your head or anything else "going out of
hiatus for the series" is akin to calling Star Trek: The Motion Picture
"Episode 80." The series didn't go on indefinite hiatus. it was cancelled.
The show's production office was closed, the crew was let go, the cast was
let go, the soundstages were reassigned, the sets were struck or released
for other projects, and the show got cancelled. It's gone, Rob. Go ahead
and go through the five stages of loss and move on. That's the thing
healthy
people do. They don't bandy about doublespeak to hide the fact that the
show
got cancelled.
You can bet your last dollar with confidence that the SAG strike will
happen, just like the WGA strike happened. Everyone has been planning for
the industry equivalent of the Hundred Years War here, and the two sides
are
locked in their positions and there's not going to be any movement on this
for a very long time. Lauren's decision to work her attractive little butt
off right now is a very wise move.
And another thing. I know you're pissed at Alexis because she, according
to
your "sources," smashed your fairy tale castle, but don't you think it's
about time you stopped ragging on her? The show's over, what's done is
done,
and it's time to forgive her for her alleged role in ending the series.
