That one is easy. Because Gilmore Girls, which stars Alexis Bledel,
is on ABC Family.

Less than you think. The marketability of theatrical movies to
broadcast networks and basic cable has gone way, way, waaaaay down due
to pay cable (HBO & Showtime), pay-per-view and VHS & DVD. Not to
mention that due to pay cable and VHS/DVD, the routine editing of
movies for time and/or content has actively alienated the vast
majority of the viewing public (except for the Jeezoids who keep
trying to censor movies with their own gadgets, against the wishes of
the moviemakers and in violation of the studios' copywrights. BID.)
Only the biggest movies make it to broadcast networks nowadays.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
