Mistrusting and disliking the Clintons is not limited to the Republican 
party. Nor does party orientation require that one not like or  sup****t 
candidates from the other side. I'm a registered Democrat, but have 
tended to vote Republican much of the time. If, however,  a Democrat 
like John Breaux were running for President, I would vote for him in a 
minute.

I said I know him and occasionally have encountered him socially. He is 
hardly a friend, but I have been around him during political discussions 
and he is an old style, Tip O'neill Democrat. That may not be leftist 
enough for your tastes, but that's your problem not his or mine. It's 
doubtful JFK would qualify as a Democrat by the standards you and Xena 
set. (I even have doubts JFK would consider himself a Democrat in 
today's political climate.)
