Aaahh yes....Tip O'Neil.  A man from a far gone era.   An era when
both sides could vigoursly disagree, vote on the issue, then get to
together and be friends go and eat dinner.  

An era that is far away from what we have today.   The hatred and
partison****p between the two sides is very heavy and very distructive
of the political process.   

The name of this nation is the United States.  Maybe we should
change the name to the Very Deeply Divided States of 
America.

The partison****p in this nation will destroy us.

To really understand where we are politically when Barry 
Goldwater ran for president he was branded as too conservative.
Fast forward to 2008 and in todays republican party Barry
Goldwater would be branded a screaming liberal.

Bear in mind back in that election Hilary Clinton worked
on the Barry Goldwater campaign.  Today she is still very
much aligned with Goldwater on many of the issues.
